Ingredients Easy caramel cream
Recipe for 6 people
- 170 g of powdered sugar
- 50 cl of milk
- 4 cl of water
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 vanilla pod
- Some fresh fruit (of your choice)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 150°C.
- In a saucepan, heat 100 g of sugar and the water until you obtain a golden caramel. Spread the caramel in the bottom of 6 ramekins.
- In a saucepan, bring the milk, vanilla and remaining sugar to a boil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Whisk the eggs in a bowl and add the hot milk, whisking constantly. Pour the mixture into the ramekins.
- Place the ramekins in a deep baking dish and fill it 2/3 full with water. Cook for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven once the edges of the cream are seized and the center is still trembling.
- Remove the ramekins from the bain-marie and let cool on a rack. Wrap each ramekin in cling film and refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
- When ready to serve, turn out onto dessert plates using the tip of a knife to remove them.
